Buying guide & FAQs

Which wheelchair suits you?

Transit vs self-propelling

Transit chairs have small rear wheels and attendant brakes, so they're lighter to lift into a car, but the user can't push themselves. Self-propelling chairs have large 24" rear wheels with push rims, so the user or a carer can push.
