This tool clamps the band in an adjustable slot, and turning the knurled knob drives a fine push pin through the link to pop the pin out. Remove the links you need, then push the pin back in to rejoin the band. The tool is about 6.4cm long and weighs about 24g, so it fits in a drawer or watch box.

Before you start: look on the inside of the band for small arrows next to the pins. Place the band in the tool with the arrow pointing down, line up the push pin with the link pin and turn the knob. Remove the same number of links from each side of the clasp so it stays centred.

Care & Use

Work on a soft cloth or tray so small pins do not roll away. Turn the knob slowly and stop if the pin does not move, as it may be a screw or split pin that needs a different tool. Keep the tool dry and store the spare pins in a small bag.
