Wired Christmas ribbon in nine plaid and tartan styles — a 40 mm wide, 6 metre roll of woven polyester with a wire edge that holds a bow, loops through a tree or wraps a wreath without flopping.

The wire edge is what separates this from gift-wrap ribbon: you can shape a loop, pinch a bow or curve a length around a branch and it stays put. Nine patterns cover the Christmas palette — classic red tartans, red and black buffalo check, black and white buffalo check, red and white gingham, a natural burlap-look plaid and an orange-green plaid for a rustic tree. One roll per pack; mix a tartan with a gingham for a layered bow.

What You Get

Specifications

Tree tip: a 6 m roll makes about four large bows or dresses a 1.8 m tree with vertical ribbon drops from top to base. For a full spiral wrap on a large tree, allow two rolls.

Why Buy This Wired Ribbon

• Wire edge - bows and loops hold their shape instead of collapsing
• Nine patterns - tartan, buffalo plaid, gingham and burlap-look in one range, so styles coordinate
• 40 mm width - wide enough to read from across the room, narrow enough to tie a bow by hand
• 6 metres - enough for a tree or a wreath plus gift toppers from one roll
• Reusable - untie, press flat and re-roll for next year

Care & Use

Cut with sharp scissors to avoid fraying, and leave a 2 cm tail that you can fold under. Store rolled or loosely coiled; a tightly creased wire edge can be smoothed by running it between your fingers.

Please allow a small measurement tolerance due to manual measurement, and slight colour variation due to different monitor settings.

Where It Gets Used

Christmas trees and wreaths are the main jobs — a tartan ribbon spiralled through the branches ties a mixed set of baubles together, and a wired bow on a wreath stays crisp on a front door for the whole of December.

The same rolls work for gift wrapping, chair sashes at a Christmas lunch, mason jar gifts, scrapbooking and sewing trims, and the burlap-look and gingham styles carry through to rustic weddings and farmhouse decor outside the season.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much ribbon is on a roll?
Six metres, 40 mm wide. One roll per pack.

Is it wired on both edges?
Yes, the wire runs along both edges so loops and bows hold their shape.

Can I use it outdoors?
It is polyester, so it copes with a covered porch or front door. Prolonged direct rain and sun will fade and sag any fabric ribbon.

Is it the same width in every style?
Yes — every style is 40 mm wide and 6 m long; only the pattern changes.

Will it arrive before Christmas?
Orders are dispatched from Sydney and delivered Australia-wide with tracking. Order early in December to allow for the Christmas postal rush.
